ISSF ranks Hoang Xuan Vinh third in world
(VOV) - Distinguished expert shooter Hoang Xuan Vinh, 42, has placed third in the latest men's 50m pistol world rankings released for January 2016 by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF).
Vinh, who had previously earned a berth to compete at the 2016 Olympics, now has 1,280 points in total. The top shooter in the category is China’s Zhang Bowen, 20, with 1,491 points, followed by the RoK’s Jin Hong Oh, 37, with 1,452 points.
Also in the rankings, shooter Tran Quoc Cuong, 42, has jumped one place to 50th, while Nguyen Hoang Phuong, 30, dropped two places to 66th.

In the men’s 10m air pistol event, Tran Quoc Cuong ranks 21st with 239 points (up three places), and Hoang Xuan Vinh is in the 26th slot with 220 points (dropped one place).
The top spot is held by the RoK’s Jin Hong Oh, with 1,741 points.
