Huynh Nhu appears on FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 poster
VOV.VN - Vietnamese striker Huynh Nhu has been prominently featured in a comic-style poster for the upcoming 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup which will take place in Australia and New Zealand.
On the website of the world’s football governing body, the main focus of the poster is on captain of the United States Becky Sauerbrunn, the current world champions, holding the World Cup trophy.
Standing behind her are players from various countries which will compete at the World Cup, including Huynh Nhu of Vietnam, Sam Kerr of Australia, Ali Riley of New Zealand, Debinha of Brazil, and Wendie Renard of France.
Huynh Nhu appeared in a poster in June alongside several football stars who will join the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in order to celebrate Matariki, also known as the Māori New Year.
Huynh Nhu is one of the most prominent players in Vietnamese women's football. She is most notable for winning the Golden Ball award four times and has also made several important contributions to the Vietnamese women's team, winning gold medals at the SEA Games in 2017, 2019, and 2022, along with the AFF Cup 2019 championship.
She is the top scorer in the history of the Vietnamese women's football team with 59 goals for the national side.
The upcoming 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup marks the first time that the Vietnamese national women’s football team have progressed to the finals of the international tournament.
