Hoang Nam wins first match at Vietnam Open Danang City 2019
VOV.VN -Ly Hoang Nam, Vietnam's leading tennis player, successfully won his opening match of the Vietnam Open against a strong rival in Germany’s Daniel Altmaier on January 6.

Last year, Nam lost to the German player at a tournament held in Hong Kong (China).
Nam’s next match will be against No.7 seed Sebastian Fanselow of Germany, who ranks No. 323 in ATP’s rankings.
The Vietnam Open Danang City 2019, is taking place between January 6 and 12 at Tien Son Sports Complex. The competition has attracted the participation of 48 Vietnamese and foreign players, including those in the APT’s ranking.
The host, Vietnam, will send three of the country’s most outstanding tennis players to compete at the tournament, including Ly Hoang Nam, Trinh Linh Giang, and Le Quoc Khanh
During the doubles’ event, Nam will pair up with Le Quoc Khanh while Linh Giang will pair with overseas Vietnamese player Daniel Nguyen, who is ranked World No 189 in singles and world top 400 in doubles’.
Other foreign professional tennis players competing at the tournament include Marcel Granollers of Spain (World No.96), Teymuraz Gabashvili (World No.369), Saketh Myneni of India (previous champion of the Vietnam Open 2015 and Vietnam Open 2017), and other top 300 ATP players.
The tournament offers total cash prizes totaling US$55,000 as well as 80 points in the ATP rankings for winners of the single and double titles.
