Hoang Duc named as the most valuable footballer in V.League 1 2023
VOV.VN - Renowned German football site Transfermarkt has named Vietnamese midfielder Hoang Duc as the most valuable footballer currently playing in the V.League 1.
Hoang Duc, who is playing for Viettel FC, was valued by the website at EUR400,000, equivalent to over VND10 billion.
The Vietnamese player has been in good form over recent years. Most notably, he beat several other potential nominees to win the Vietnam Golden Ball Awards 2021 and helped his side Viettel FC get to second place before the 2020 to 2021 V.League 1 season was canceled. He also played well at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League.
At present, the player and his teammates at Viettel FC are in a fierce race for the V.League 1 title with Cong An Ha Noi FC and Hanoi FC.
Elsewhere, striker Tien Linh of Becamex Binh Duong FC and defender Ho Tan Tai of Cong An Ha Noi FC ranked second among the most valuable footballers in the league at EUR400,000 each.
Meanwhile, Quang Hai, who has recently returned to the V.League 1 after playing for French Ligue 2 side Pau FC, was valued at EUR300,000, the same value as Bui Hoang Viet Anh of Hanoi FC and Phan Van Duc of Cong An Ha Noi FC.
