HCM City Women’s FC placed in Group A of AFC Women’s Champions League
VOV.VN - Ho Chi Minh City Women’s FC have been drawn into Group A of the 2025–2026 AFC Women’s Champions League, where they will face Melbourne City (Australia), Stallion Laguna (Philippines) and Lion City Sailors (Singapore) in the group stage this November.

The draw took place on September 11 at the headquarters of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in Malaysia.
Head coach Doan Thi Kim Chi said Melbourne City, last season’s runners-up, are seen as the toughest opponent in the group. Stallion Laguna and Lion City Sailors, both boasting several naturalized and foreign players, are also expected to provide strong competition.
With the advantage of playing at home, the Vietnamese side are determined to reach their target of advancing beyond the group stage, Kim Chi added. HCM City Women’s FC will once again serve as hosts for Group A matches, which will run from November 13 to 19.
In the tournament’s inaugural season, the club also hosted the group stage, defeating Odisha FC of India and Taichung Blue Whale of Chinese Taipei to advance to the quarter-finals, before falling to Wuhan Jiangda in the semi-finals. Their performance in the 2024-2025 campaign lifted Vietnam to fifth place in the AFC women’s club rankings.
