HCM City Television Cycling Tournament wraps up

The 31st Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV) Cycling Tournament concluded on Le Duan street, HCM City’s District 1 on April 30. 

Cyclist Javier Sarda Perez of the Vietnam-US Society (VUS)’s English Centre in Ho Chi Minh City won the yellow jersey of the tournament. 

Gang Hyosuk of the Gao Hat Ngoc Troi An Giang, and Golakhour Mirsamad Pourseyed of Loc Troi An Giang Group were the runners-up. 

The green jersey award as the best sprinter went to Le Nguyet Minh of HCM City MM Mega Market, while Golakhour Mirsamad Pourseyed of Loc Troi An Giang Group won the red jersey as the King of Mountain.

The white jersey as the best young cyclist belonged to Nguyen Quoc Bao of Domesco Pharmacy Dong Thap.  

The organising booard also presented the Vinfast award to Huynh Thanh Tung of Military Zone 7 – Trisport International. 

In the team rankings, the VUS’s English Centre took the lead. It was followed by Bike Life Dong Nai and Loc Troi An Giang Group. 

The tournament was held to celebrate late President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday (May 19), 50 years of the implementation of the late President’s testament, and the 44th anniversary of Liberation of South Vietnam and National Reunification (April 30). 

Cyclists from 12 teams began their 2,000-km journey in Vinh city, the central province of Nghe An, on April 13 and finished in HCM City.
