HCM City sign contract with Portugal player Tavares
V.League 1 club HCM City have signed a contract with midfielder Paulo Daniel Fernandes Tavares of Portugal to prepare for the upcoming football season.

The 32-year-old player joined the English club, Port Vale, in July 2016. He returned to Portugal last August to join Cova da Piedade club to compete for Liga Pro, a professional second-tier league.
At present, HCM City have three foreign players in their line-up. They plan to naturalise for striker Gonzalo Damian Marronkle of Argentina.
Earlier, the club bid farewell to former Manchester United midfielder Rodrigo Possebon after more than a month on trial. The Brazilian footballer could not stand up to expectations and suffered a back injury for the second time.
Meanwhile, Thanh Hoa’s Nguyen Huu Dung will play for Can Tho under a one-year loan contract.
Dung played for the national U23 team under the guidance of coach Toshiya Miura.
Besides Dung, coach Dinh Hong Vinh of Can Tho has signed new contracts with many veterans, such as goalie To Vinh Loi from Hoang Anh Gia Lai and Ngo Quang Huy of Haiphong.
Can Tho are expected to shine this year following a disappointed performance in 2017.
