HCM City Open to tee off next week

Around 280 golfers will participate in the annual HCM City Golf Open, to be held on April 19 and 20 at the Vietnam Golf & Country Club.

One of the biggest events in the city and one of the high-ranked tournaments in the country, the Open has attracted top national players.

In its third edition, the event has six categories, including Pro and Albatross for men and Diamond and Ruby for women.

Athletes will be divided into different classes based on handicap. They will compete in two rounds, 18 holes each, so as to determine the winner with the best gross as well as those in the top three of each category.

Organisers will also give prizes for the longest drive, nearest to the hole and hole-in-one.

Last year, Andrew Hung Pham overcame around 300 rivals to win the title.
