HCM City I victorious in first leg of National Women’s Football Championship
VOV.VN - HCM City I FC finished the first leg of the National Women’s Football Championship 2019 as champions after defeating Vietnam Mineral and Coal FC 3-0 in their final group match which was held in Nha Trang city on July 1.

HCM City 1 FC dominated the game in the first half and successfully broke the deadlock in the 38th minute thanks to striker Thuy Trang.
In first half injury time, Hoai Luong bagged a goal to increase the score to 2-0 in favour of HCM City 1 FC.
The team, led by coach Doan Thi Kim Chi, came out in the second half playing a defensive style to protect their 2-0 lead.
This meant that most of the team’s attacks came via a counterattack. This proved fruitful in the 88th minute as captain Huynh Nhu completed the scoring to give her team a 3-0 victory.
HCM City 1 FC top the first leg of the National Women’s Football Championship 2019 with 16 points from six matches, three points higher than Phong Phu Ha Nam and Hanoi FCs in second and third places.
The second leg of the tournament is scheduled to take place in Ha Nam province on September 13.
