Hanoi ready for Techcombank international marathon 2025
The 4th edition of Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon will kick off on October 5, with the participation of tens of thousands of domestic and foreign runners.

Each season, the race kit goes beyond being mere sports gear to also serve as a cultural emblem. This year’s design draws inspiration from Khue Van Cac (the pavilion of the constellation of literature) – the capital's symbol of knowledge, combined with modern elements to bridge the past and the present. The imagery not only celebrates Vietnam’s cultural heritage but also embodies the spirit of healthy living.
A highlight of this edition is the integration of digital technology and artificial intelligence. Through the AI Transformation Movement, participants can turn a single photo into a personalised video, creating a unique and highly shareable social media experience. This approach not only innovates experience for athletes but also serves as a smart community marketing strategy – turning participants into “brand ambassadors” who spread the message of a healthy and active lifestyle.
Through the race, the brand reaches not only tens of thousands of participating athletes but also millions of sports enthusiasts worldwide. This exemplifies community-driven marketing, where brand value is built through engagement and shared experiences.
Pham Xuan Tai, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, praised the organisers for incorporating iconic images of the capital and applying advanced technology. He noted that the marathon is gradually becoming a flagship sport, cultural, and tourism event for Hanoi, helping popularise the capital city’s image globally.
Thai Minh Diem Tu, Marketing Director of Techcombank, stated that the bank aims to deliver fresh and memorable experiences each season, promoting a healthy lifestyle and the community spirit.
Rob Zamacona, CEO of Sunrise Events Vietnam, emphasised that the firm is committed to innovation through technology solutions that help athletes fully capture their race moments and prepare for their more comprehensive development in the future.
Another key highlight is that the race course in this edition continues to meet international standards as certified by both the World Marathon Majors (AIMS) and the Vietnam Athletics Federation. This ensures that athletes’ results are globally recognised, opening up opportunities to compete in prestigious marathons such as Boston, Chicago, and London.
