Hanoi lose to Phong Phu Ha Nam at national football champs
Hanoi lost to Phong Phu Ha Nam 1-2 in the second round of the second leg of the National Women’s Football Championship – Thai Son Bac Cup on September 17.

The game was held at Thong Nhat Stadium in HCM City.
The two teams played attack starting from the opening of the match. In the 22nd minute, receiving a spectacular pass of Tuyet Dung, Thanh Huong opened the score for Ha Nam.
Only 10 minutes later, taking full advantage of Nguyen Thi Loan’s goalie’s mistake, Nguyen Thi Lieu wrote her name in the scoresheet as she doubled the score for Ha Nam.
Before the first half closed, Thao Anh missed a chance to narrow the gap for the capital team as goalkeeper Hai Yen of Ha Nam outstandingly saved the goal.
After the break, the Hanoian women fought back strongly to seek goals and their efforts paid off in the 63rd minute. Bien Thi Hang scored a goal in the penalty spot, raising the hopes of the capital team. However, that was their only goal in the match after missing many other chances.
In another match, defending champions HCM City 1 crushed HCM City 2 4-0.
Despite losing to Ha Nam, Hanoi still tops the rankings with 17 points, followed by Vietnam Coal and Mineral and Ha Nam.
