Hanoi Football Club appoints Welsh coach Brian Stock as assistant

VOV.VN - Hanoi Football Club (Hanoi FC) have announced the appointment of Brian Stock as an assistant coach, adding further depth to the club’s technical staff, according to a statement on the club’s official fan page.

Data from Transfermarkt show that Stock, a former Welsh central midfielder born in 1981 in Winchester, England, earned three caps for the Wales national team and played for a number of clubs during his professional career before retiring in 2019. After hanging up his boots, he moved into management with Weymouth and later worked within AFC Bournemouth’s youth development system, before opting for a new challenge in Vietnamese football.

The appointment is seen as part of the club’s effort to sharpen tactical thinking and lift training standards at the Hang Day Stadium side under head coach Harry Kewell.
