Hang Day Stadium selected for Vietnam–Bangladesh clash in FIFA Days

VOV.VN - Vietnam will face Bangladesh in an international friendly during the March 2026 FIFA Days, with the match set to take place at Hang Day Stadium in Hanoi, according to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).

The VFF confirmed that the fixture will kick off at 7:00 pm on March 26. The friendly forms part of Vietnam’s preparations for their crucial rematch against Malaysia in the final round of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers.

From a technical standpoint, Bangladesh have been identified by the coaching staff as suitable opponents during the FIFA international window, offering Vietnam an opportunity to test tactical options, evaluate personnel and maintain competitive rhythm ahead of upcoming official matches.

The national squad are scheduled to reconvene on March 21 to begin preparations. The selection of Hang Day Stadium, a familiar venue for Hanoi supporters, is expected to ensure quality playing conditions and a strong home atmosphere for head coach Kim Sang-sik’s side.

The VFF added that further details regarding match organisation, ticket sales and related activities will be announced in the coming days.
