Gloomy days put damper on U22 training camp

VOV.VN - The rain over the past couple of days has put a damper on the U22 training camp in preparation for the upcoming big game against Timor Leste at Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City.

The football field at Thong Nhat Stadium has turned into a giant sponge, forcing the training to move elsewhere.

As a result, Coach Nguyen Huu Thang moves practice inside on July 18.

Coach Thang is not happy having to forego the superior outdoor training on the field. Pictured above is Midfielder Luong Xuan Truong and goalkeeper Phi Minh Long who don’t seem to mind as much.

Training indoors on concrete severely restricts the training the athletes can safely perform.

Some players are excused from indoor training and will have to wait for the field to dry out. Pictured above is Duc Huy (forefront).

Timor Leste players are likewise forced indoors.

Coach Kim Shinhwan is not happy at all with the quality of Thong Nhat Stadium and tells his team the same.
