Gia Bao named second most valuable U17 player in Asia by Transfermarkt
VOV.VN - Vietnamese rising star Tran Gia Bao has been named the second most valuable player at the 2025 AFC U17 Asian Cup, according to renowned German football website Transfermarkt.

The site estimates the 16-year-old midfielder’s market value at EUR 50,000, the same as Quinn MacNicol, captain of the Australian U17 team.
At just 16, he became the youngest player ever registered in the national premier league and the youngest goalscorer in V.League 1 history.
His latest standout moment came on April 7, when he calmly converted a stoppage-time penalty to earn Vietnam a 1-1 draw against Japan in their second group stage match of the U17 Asian Cup.
Looking ahead, Vietnam are set to face the UAE in their final group stage match, while Japan will take on Australia. Both matches will kick off on April 10.
The 2025 AFC U17 Asian Cup is being held in Saudi Arabia from April 3 to 20. The tournament features 16 teams divided into four groups, competing in a round-robin format. The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals and secure a spot at the U17 World Cup.
