Launched in 2022 with events in Vietnam, Indonesia, Taiwan, Singapore, the Republic of Korea (RoK), the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong and Japan, Garmin Run has gradually expanded into a global race series connecting running communities across countries. This year also marks the event’s first expansion into the United States under the “Beat Yesterday” message.

Following the 2025 season, which attracted nearly 6,000 participants, Garmin Run Vietnam 2026 will welcome runners of all levels, from beginners to athletes pursuing personal milestones.

This year’s event will continue to expand its race categories to match different fitness goals and running styles, including a 5km race for beginners, 5km and 10km couple runs for friends, partners and teammates, a 10km category focused on endurance and fitness improvement, and a 21km half marathon for runners seeking greater discipline and personal challenges.

According to Ivan Lai, regional director of Garmin Vietnam, the Garmin Run Marathon Series 2026 reflected the global growth of running culture as well as changing perceptions of health and quality of life.

He said healthy living today was no longer simply about longevity, but also about maintaining physical and mental well-being while staying active throughout life.

“With Garmin Run, we hope to continue encouraging an active lifestyle, inspire more people to begin their own journeys and further connect Vietnam’s growing running community,” an organizing committee representative said.

Beyond the races, Garmin Run Vietnam 2026 is also expected to feature a sports festival atmosphere where participants can experience Garmin’s technology ecosystem and latest smartwatch products, while meeting Garmin Elite athletes, celebrities and prominent figures from the sports community.

The event will also feature interactive activities such as medal laser engraving, customized shirt and tote bag printing, live BIB result checks, recovery and chill zones with DJs, and meet-ups with popular social running clubs. Organizers said technology gifts and prize packages will remain among the highlights of this year’s event.
