Nearly 10,000 runners expected at Da Nang International Marathon 2026
VOV.VN - The 13th Da Nang International Marathon 2026 is set to take place on March 21-22, with around 10,000 runners from Vietnam and abroad expected to compete.
According to a plan issued by the Da Nang People’s Committee, the opening ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. on March 20 at Bien Dong Park on Vo Nguyen Giap Street, An Hai ward.
Organizers expect about 7,000 domestic runners and 3,000 international runners from 70 countries and territories to take part.
The main race categories include the marathon (42 km), half marathon (21 km) and 5 km race, which will take place on March 22. In addition, children’s races such as the Ronny Dash 1.5 km and a 500 m run will be held on March 21.
Runners can register online through the event’s official website at www.rundanang.com.
Runners who complete the 42 km, 21 km and 5 km races within the specified time will receive finisher medals. Athletes finishing first, second and third in each distance, for both men and women, will receive trophies and corresponding prizes.
For the 42 km marathon, in addition to the overall awards, prizes will also be presented by different age groups.
The annual Da Nang International Marathon helps promote sports participation in the community while presenting Da Nang as a destination for international sporting events.
