FPT Telecom acquires broadcasting rights for Asian Cup 2023 in Vietnam
VOV.VN - FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company, one of the telecommunications and Internet service providers, has gained the broadcasting rights for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup 2023 in Vietnam.
It is expected that all 51 matches of the tournament will be broadcast live on FPT Play’s Internet Protocol Television system or on the FPT Play application for Smartphones, SmartTVs, FPT Play decoders and at the website https: //fptplay.vn/.
FPT Play will have live commentary at the studio for important matches of the tournament, especially matches with the competition of the Vietnamese team.
AFC Asian Cup 2023 will take place in Doha, Qatar, from January 12 to February 10, 2024, with the participation of 24 teams. The teams are divided into six groups, and at the end of the group stage, the top two teams in each group and the four best third-placed teams will win tickets to the round of 16.
Vietnam play in Group D alongside Japan, Indonesia and Iraq. They are scheduled to take on Japan on January 14, Indonesia on January 19 and Iraq on January 24.
The Vietnamese team’s goal is to pass the group stage. At the AFC Asian Cup 2019, the Vietnamese team entered the quarterfinals.
