Three FIFA-certified referees from Japan, Thailand and Malaysia will be invited to supervise matches in the V-League 2015’s 21 st round, announced the organisation board on August 14.
The upcoming game between Hanoi T&T and Becamex Binh Duong in Hanoi’s Hang Day Stadium on August 16 will be adjudicated by a Japanese referee.
A Thai referee will supervise the Becamex Binh Duong-FLC Thanh Hoa match on August 28, and the Malaysian referee will control the Dong Nai-Hoang Anh Gia Lai game, also on August 28.
According to the board, the invitation aims to create chances for foreign and domestic referees to exchange experiences.
After 20 rounds, V-League 2015 has seen 408 goals and attracted over 1 million audience members. However, the number of football lovers coming to the stadiums to watch games has declined since the 13 th round, dropping to an average of about 7,000 per game from 7,893.
