Footballers born in the Year of Monkey
VOV.VN -In Western astrology, there are 12 astrological signs – and in Vietnamese astrology, there are 12 zodiac animals – the mouse, cow, tiger, rat, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and pig.
In Vietnamese culture, it is believed that people share some common characteristics with the zodiac of the year when they were born. For example, people who were born in the Year of the Dragon are considered lucky, and people born in the Year of the Pig are materially rich.
The Year of the Monkey starts on February 8. People born in the Year of the Monkey are often believed to be smart, flexible and ambitious, and can adapt to the changing environment quickly.
Many players of the U23 Vietnam football team were born in the Year of the Monkey and we chose four active players – Mac Hong Quan, Ngo Hoang Thinh, Tran Phi Son and Nguyen Huy Hung – who are also of the Vietnam National Football team.
Mac Hong Quan
The highlight of his career to date came on September 15, 2014 when he was instrumental in scoring two goals to help his Vietnam team win a ‘shocker’ over Iran 4-1 at the Asian Games.
Ngo Hoang Thinh
Thinh has been nominated for the title of Best Young Player of Vietnam Football Federation on four separate occasions. He has won many trophies with Song Lam Nghe An at youth national tournaments level including: U11, U12, U15, U17, U21.
In 2011, at the young age of 19, he won the V-League and the Vietnamese National Cup runners-up title with Song Lam Nghe An.
