Football tournament held for Vietnamese community in Japan

VOV.VN - The FAVIJA Champions Cup 2024 football tournament is scheduled to take place in Japan on November 24, drawing the participation of 32 teams from overseas Vietnamese and Japanese people.

Participants include the teams that won the first, second, and third prizes at nine tournaments held in seven localities across Japan, including Kanto, Chubu, Tokai, Kansai, Hokuriku, Chugoku, and Kyushu.

The organising board will give prizes to participants in mini games to predict the results of football matches and the ultimate champions.

Furthermore, several Vietnamese young football stars have been invited to the tournament while holding exchanges with participants during the event.

The annual event is organised by the Vietnam-Japan Cultural and Sports Exchange Association (FAVIJA) under the auspices of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan.

This is part of the culture-sporting exchange activities being held to celebrate the 51st anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (1973-2024).
