FLC Thanh Hoa crash out at AFC Cup
FLC Thanh Hoa squandered a two goal lead to draw 3-3 with hosts Global Cebu FC of the Philippines, ending both sides’ slim hopes of advancing from group G of the Asian Football Confederation Cup on April 11.

The draw in the fifth match at the Rizal Memorial Stadium coupled with Yangon United’s 3-2 win over Bali United the same day means only the Myanmar side will qualify for the knock-out stage as winners of the group.
The V-League team started brightly, with Edward Ofere opening the scoring in the second minute. However, Global Cebu equalised minutes later though Rufo Chasnchez.
Although the Filipino side dominated, Thanh Hoa restored their lead in the 25th minute thanks to forward Le Thanh Binh.
The Vietnamese doubled their lead shortly after the restart, with striker Hoang Dinh Tung firing home, putting Thanh Hoa in a great position to win.
However it was not to be, as two headed goals in the 82nd and 90th minutes by the home side sent the visitors home disappointed.
