First Vietnamese students’ sport festival in Czech Republic

The 1st sport festival for Vietnamese students in the Czech Republic took place in Brno city on September 22-23 with support from the Vietnamese Embassy and the Association of Vietnamese people in the country.

The event attracted Vietnamese postgraduates and students pursuing their studies in the Czech Republic, who competed in football, table tennis, badminton, and tug of war.

Nguyen Van Phu, Chairman of the Vietnamese students and youth association in the European country, thanked the embassy and the association for their support which, he said, contributed to the event’s success. 

The festival helped to encourage sport and exercise movements, as well as promote solidarity among Vietnamese youths working and studying in the country, he added.
