FIFA lifts transfer ban as Thanh Hoa add six new signings
VOV.VN - The world football governing body FIFA has lifted two of the four transfer bans imposed on Dong A Thanh Hoa, allowing the V.League club to register new players ahead of the mid-season transfer deadline.
The player registration window closes at 11:59 p.m. on March 17, leaving Thanh Hoa little time to complete new deals.
Head coach Mai Xuan Hop has already registered six players, including young striker Le Van Hoan, former Vietnam U19 player Le Van Hung, and former national team midfielder Nguyen Huu Dung. Foreign players Amar Catic and Belli, a Nicaragua international, are also among the new arrivals.
Thanh Hoa have been under a transfer ban in recent weeks due to financial disputes but confirmed that all outstanding payments had been settled.
Despite squad changes and the earlier ban, the team has collected five points from six matches since the V.League resumed and currently sits 12th in the table.
