European friendly table tennis tournament for Vietnamese expats in Hungary
VOV.VN - Nearly 180 Vietnamese expatriates from 11 countries and five territories across Europe will take part in a friendly table tennis tournament, slated for May 2-3 in Budapest, Hungary.
Now in its 12th edition, and hosted by Hungary for the third time, the tournament has grown into a flagship community sporting event for overseas Vietnamese across the continent.
Competitions will be held across team, doubles and singles categories, covering various age groups and skill levels, from amateur enthusiasts to experienced players. The tournament continues to stand out for its multi-generational participation, with both young debutants and veteran players sharing the same stage.
Beyond the matches, the event will draw strong support from families and fans, creating a lively atmosphere both on and off the court. It is expected to become a bridge connecting the community, spreading the spirit of solidarity and preserving Vietnamese cultural identity in the heart of Europe.
The 2026 European friendly table tennis tournament, the largest of its kind, is also seen as an opportunity for the Vietnamese community in Europe to reconnect, exchange and sustain a long-standing tradition that has been nurtured over more than a decade.
