E-sports targets Top 3 finish at SEA Games 32
VOV.VN - Vietnam’s e-sports team will take part in seven out of nine competitions and aim to make the Top 3 at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32) which is scheduled to take place in Cambodia this May.
According to the Vietnam Recreational and Electronic Sport Association (VIRESA), local athletes will compete in categories such as Crossfire team, PUBG Mobile individuals, PUBG Mobile team, Mobile Legend: Bang bang male team, Mobile Legend: Bang bang female team, League of Legends: Wild Rift team, and VALORANT team.
The country’s e-sports team will strive to finish in the Top 3, said Do Viet Hung, general secretary of the VIRESA.
At SEA Games 31 hosted by Vietnam in 2022, the Vietnamese e-sports team ranked first with four gold and three silver medals in a total of 10 categories.
The e-sports competition at SEA Games 32 will get underway in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from May 4 to May 16. The organisers said each country can only register to compete in seven of the nine categories.
