Da Nang to host golf tourism festival
VOV.VN - The Da Nang Department of Tourism said on July 18 that the central city is set to host a golf tourism festival 2023 between August 25 and September 2, with the ultimate aim of providing a boost to the nation’s golf tourism development.
The highlight of the festival will be the BRG Open Golf Championship Da Nang 2023, with the event scheduled to get underway at the BRG Da Nang Golf Club’s Nicklaus Course.
So far, a total of 144 domestic and foreign golfers from countries have registered to compete in the tournament. The winner will have the chance to bring home a total of US$100,000 in prize money.
Nguyen Xuan Binh, deputy director of the city’s Department of Tourism, said that this represents the second time Da Nang has hosted such a large-scale golf festival. The event will help attract more golf lovers and tourists to visit the central city, therebby contributing to promoting the development of MICE tourism, he added.
Along with the championship, the 2023 Da Nang Golf Tourism Festival will feature a number of activities for visitors to experience playing golf and enjoy the city’s delicious food scene.
