Coach Park Hang-Seo nurtures the Vietnamese football dream
The Vietnamese Olympic Football Team's ambitious dream of winning the Gold Medal was almost within reach, only to be bested by Korea at the ASIAD 2018 semi-finals, denying them the chance to enter the Asiad finals for the first time ever.
However, in spite of their magical journey in Indonesia, Coach Park Hang-seo and his team are forever the champions in the hearts of Vietnamese football fans for their indomitable spirit and powerful will shown through the game.
The next great goal of Vietnamese football at ASIAD 2018
The difference in ability between the two teams made for a harsh match-up at the semi-finals for the Vietnamese Olympic team. Despite the high-spirited performance, the team could not make a win and so will have to compete for the third place at the play-offs of the ASIAD.
However, the Vietnamese team gave a good show on August 29, refusing to give up the fight to the last minute. Park Hang-seo and his team are going into the play-off against the UAE on September 1.
Based on the general evaluation of the Vietnamese and UAE Olympic teams, Park is forecast to continue reaching into the team’s reserves, while galvanising the steadfast spirit of the team to win the game.
As long as the ball keeps rolling, Vietnamese team and their fans keep dreaming big and keep fighting.
Coach Park Hang-seo-the man behind the miracles
Regardless of the result on August 29, Coach Park Hang-seo and the Vietnamese Olympic team have made a strong impression on people across Asia.
Back when Park was appointed as the head coach for the Vietnamese National Football Team, John Duerden, a reporter from Fox Sport Asia, wrote: “In order to help Vietnamese football reach the next level though, Park Hang-seo may be a smart appointment. He is not going to take Vietnam to the top of Asian football, but in the short to medium term, he can take them a little closer.”
And till now, the performance of Park and his team has exceeded the expectations of Duerden as they have achieved two proud milestones in just a few months: being the runner-up at the AFC U23 Championship and going into the ASIAD semi-final for the first time ever.
The fans might be a little disappointed after the semi-finals, but the miracles that Park has done for Vietnamese football during this short time are definitely undeniable.
Indeed, with his determination, devotion, and hard work to achieve his goals, Coach Park has inspired millions of Vietnamese people to live life to the fullest and follow their passion.
