Children Games end with Vietnam No 11

The Children of Asia Games ended on July 17 in Sakha Republic (Yakutia) with Vietnam in the No 11 position.

The Vietnamese children athletes won five gold, four silver and 10 bronze medals.

Siberian Federal District topped the ranking with 49 titles. They were followed by Sakha Republic 1 with 27 medals and Kazakhstan with 25.

The sixth Games, starting on July 4, saw athletes from 43 delegations competing.

The event has been held every four years since 1996 to provide young Asian athletes with the opportunity to meet at sports venues, to embrace the spirit of international friendship, and witness respect and tolerance for their fellow-athletes.
