Binh Duong to host Vietnam Japan International Youth Cup U13
VOV.VN - The Vietnam Japan International Youth Cup U13 will take place from December 15 to December 17 in the southern province of Binh Duong as part of activities to mark 50 years since the establishment of joint diplomatic ties.
The event is set to feature four Japanese teams, including Kawasaki Frontale, Yokohama FC, Kataller Toyama, and Shimizu S-pulse. They will be joined by one Malaysian representative in the form of the FELDA Football Academy, together with seven Vietnamese teams from across the country.
They are divided into three groups and will compete in one-round robin format. The best four teams will then qualify for the semi-final round.
In particular, an All Star match will be launched on December 17, with the occasion gathering together the best footballers from the Japanese and Vietnamese teams.
The special match will be live broadcast on Vietnam Television’s VTV5 channel and on a fanpage of the tournament at the following link: https://www.facebook.com/VNJPU13.
The tournament was first held back in 2018 as a cultural exchange activity through football between the nation and Japan, with this year marking its fifth edition.
