Athletes get ready for petanque tourneys in Bangkok
(VOV) -The General Department of Sports and Physical Training has announced it is sending a team of four athletes to compete at the 15th Junior World Petanque Championship on November 1-4 in Bangkok.
In addition, it will field a team of four female athletes to participate in the 15th Women World Petanque Championship on November 5-8 in Bangkok, said Coach Doan Tuan Anh.
“This is the first time local young athletes will compete at the world class championships,” said Coach Anh, adding that future plans are for Vietnam to field a team at the biennial events.
