Asian U23 Fencing Championships to open in Hanoi

The sixth Asian U23 Fencing Championships will take place in Hanoi from October 26-31, attracting 21 foreign teams with 247 fencers. 

It was announced at a press conference co-hosted by the Vietnamese Fencing Federation and the municipal Department of Culture and Sports in Hanoi on October 23. 

Foreign teams come from Australia, Hong Kong, Saudi Arab, Kuwait, the Republic of Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Macau, Japan, Iraq, Syria, Singapore, Kazakhstan, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Lebanon, Indonesia and Taiwan. 

Forty-five Vietnamese fencers will compete in six individual and six teams’ events. 

The competition is open free.
