An and Dung gain points in RoK fencing event

Vietnamese fencers Vu Thanh An and Nguyen Thi Le Dung have added three more points each via the Fencing Grand Prix Sabre in the Republic of Korea.

An, world No 47, ranked 48/142 in the men’s fencing final. He was awarded three points towards his final total of 35 points.


Dung, world No 48, ranked 43/132 in the women’s fencing final. She was also awarded three points towards her final total of 36 points.

With their present points, Dung and An both rank third in the Asian region. They will each try their best to rank first or second in the region during the coming weeks, to qualify for the Rio de Janeiro Olympics this summer.
