All domestic football matches temporarily suspended
VOV.VN - All football games held within the framework of the national competition system run by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) will be suspended from July 20 in commemoration of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong who passed away in Hanoi on July 19.
The fourth qualifying round of the U21 national championship, due to be held on July 20 with 12 matches, has been postponed. Key matches to identify winners to the final round, will also be delayed.
The final round of the U21 national championship is anticipated to get underway after July 30.
Similarly, the semi-finals and finals of the U17 tournament will have to be extended as the competition won’t conclude on July 24 as previously planned.
Elsewhere, matches of the U16 women's football tournament will be delayed till another time.
The VFF will announce the new schedule for all matches in the near future.
