14 more gold medals for Vietnam at SEA Games 32 on May 13

VOV.VN - May 13 saw Vietnam take home an additional 14 gold medals at the ongoing 32nd Southeast Asian Games, helping it retain top position on the medal tally.

Diving and aerobic athletes struck a hat-trick, pocketing three gold medals in each sport.  

Boxers Bui Phuoc Tung and Ha Thi Linh performed excellently, earning two gold medals in the men’s 71kg and women’s 63kg weight categories.

Judokas Ta Duc Huy and Nguyen Cuong Thinh were awarded a gold medal in Kime No Kata.

Meanwhile, other sports such as cycling, weight-lifting, rowing, Chinese chess and Billiard brought home a gold each.

As of 8pm on May 13, Vietnam won 85 gold medals, topping the medal tally, followed by Thailand with 76 gold medals, and Cambodia with 59 gold medals.

SEA Games 32 is getting underway in Cambodia from May 5 to 17.
