138 local and foreign golfers compete at Lexus Challenge 2025

VOV.VN - As many as 138 Vietnamese and foreign golfers are competing for the biggest prize money at the Lexus Challenge, one of the largest golf tournaments of the year at the Bluffs Grand Ho Tram in southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.

The event that opened on March 19 has attracted the participation of a number of golfers from Thailand, the Republic of Korea, the UK, Singapore, and the United States.

Among them, 28 are professionals and members of the VGA Tour, along with 17 young talented players from Vietnam. They will face 86 professional players from the ADT for a total bonus of US$90,000, which is the highest prize purse in the competition’s history.

Some of the notable local athletes competing this season include Truong Chi Quan, Tran Le Duy Nhat, Nguyen Huu Quyet, Nguyen Nhat Long, and Doan Van Dinh.

Players will compete in a stroke-play format through three rounds consisting of 18 holes. After 36 holes, 50 athletes with the best performance will be entitled to continue competing on the final day. The ultimate winner will be the one with the best gross.

Inheriting the 'green living' mantle of previous seasons, the Lexus Challenge 2025, which is being co-organisedby the VGA Tour and the Asian Development Tour (ADT), remains committed to not using single-use plastic.

The tournament is scheduled to last until March 21.
