Youngsters take part activities for Vietnam-Russia Youth Forum

VOV.VN - A delegation of Vietnamese youth are enjoying a hectic schedule full of activities in Moscow and Saint Petersburg as they take part in the Vietnam-Russia Youth Forum 2019.

The nation’s youth delegates are being led by First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Le Quoc Phong. Upon arriving, Mr Phong took part in a working session with the Russian Federal Agency for Youth Affairs in Moscow on September 24.
Alexander Bugayev, Chairman of the Russian Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, welcomes the Vietnamese delegation to the forum and explains the opportunities on offer for both sides to exchange experiences whilst volunteering in the programme.
Mr Phong shows sincere thanks to the warm welcome put on by the Russian hosts. He adds that volunteer youth programmes are a key activity that can serve to boost the traditional friendship that exists between the two countries.
The head of the Vietnamese delegation also notes that the Vietnam-Russia Youth Forum offers a chance for youngsters and those working in youth affairs to exchange information about their experiences in the sector. Indeed, the chance to learn more about volunteering could prove vital to delegates of both countries.
 
Later in the day the youth delegation paid a visit to the Vietnamese embassy in Russia. They were greeted by Vietnamese ambassador Ngo Duc Manh.
Led by Mr Phong, the delegation presents gifts to the Vietnamese embassy in Russia.
In total, the youth delegation consists of 50 members. The group also laid flowers at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument in Moscow.
The group will participate  in various activities during the Vietnam-Russia Youth Forum in Moscow and Saint Petersburg from September 24 to October 1.
The forum is one of a number of events being held to mark the Vietnam-Russia Year and the Russia-Vietnam Year.
