Winners of contest on history of Vietnam – Laos relations honoured
VOV.VN - An awards ceremony for a contest on the history of Vietnam-Laos special ties was held at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hanoi on December 20.
The winners of the contest were awarded their prizes by Vo Van Thuong, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education and Kikeo Khaykhamphithoun, head of the Lao Party Central Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Training.
The competition was held in two different forms: a weekly Internet quiz and a writing contest. After eight months, the quiz drew more than 300,000 contestants, 84 of whom won prizes.
Meanwhile, the writing contest at central level received 2,200 entries chosen from nearly 3 million local entries. The organizing board presented collective awards to 23 groups with the first prize going to Ninh Binh Province, and gave 32 individual awards with the first prize going to Pham Thi Hong Duyen, a teacher of Nguyen Du Junior Secondary School in Soc Son District, Hanoi.
