The organizer looks to run the campaign for a long term to help improve the environment. Apart from mobilizing local people to tidy up beaches, the program will set up a hotline for people to report on threats to the environment.
Le Binh, head of the program, told a recent press conference that the organizer had picked popular singer Thu Minh as the campaign’s ambassador thanks to her experience in inspiring local youths through her own stories. And the organizer is looking for a community influencer to accompany this long-term social campaign.
As part of the campaign, there is a gala music program at Sam Son Beach in the north-central province of Thanh Hoa on June 18, with the attendance of around 8,000 spectators.
The program will be broadcast live at 8:10 p.m. on VTV1. It will feature leading local artists, including director Pham Hoang Nam, musician Thanh Phuong, and choreographer Tran Ly Ly, over 50 singers like My Linh, Ha Tran, Trong Tan, Ta Quang Thang and Dong Hung, and Da Lab band.
