VOV, Yunnan enhance media cooperation and content co-creation
VOV.VN - Voice of Vietnam (VOV) Deputy General Director Ngo Minh Hien hosted a delegation from the Publicity Department of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, led by Deputy Head Peng Bin, in Hanoi on September 21.
During the meeting, both sides praised their close cooperative ties, maintained through professional exchanges, joint content production, bilateral livestreaming, and cultural and tourism programs such as the "Bright Mid-Autumn Moon, Deep Neighborly Affection" event.
The VOV leader outlined the station's strategic goal to become Vietnam's leading podcast producer, while affirming the desire to further promote journalistic and diplomatic cooperative relations between the two countries.
Speaking for the Yunnan delegation, Peng Bin emphasized the huge potential for cooperation in culture, tourism, and the arts, citing the television series "Meet Yourself," filmed in Dali, as an example of how cultural works bridge the two peoples.
Building on these results, both sides agreed on key orientation for future cooperation. These include establishing a mechanism for regular online meetings to co-create content, plan topics, and coordinate coverage rather than simply sharing finished products; enhancing human resources training through exchanges of journalists, technicians, engineers, and managers to share expertise in digital transformation and new media; and advancing the application of artificial intelligence in producing short videos, news segments, and short films.
The working session helped consolidate the cooperative relations between VOV and media agencies in Yunnan province, while opening new forms of practical cooperation suited to modern media transformation trends and the demand to enhance exchange and understanding between the people of Vietnam and China.
