A total of 30 participants from Singapore, Myanmar, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Brunei, the Philippines and the host nation, Vietnam, are being represented during the two-day event.
All of the workshop’s contents are related to remote production and introducing new technology aimed at supporting the remote production of sports programmes. Some of the presentations will be presented by three speakers Simon Roehrs, Philipp Hey, and Gregor Erlitz.
The three speakers have vast experience in the field of sports. The trio have taken part in many large-scale events including the SM PTE HongKong, BIRTV, BES India, Inter BEE, Broadcast Asia, and ABE Sydney.
VOV vice preident Vu Hai noted that sports programmes consistently attract a large audience and are swiftly becoming a favourite of media agencies with many firms competing to own the broadcast rights of sporting events.
This increased level of competition is the main reason that many media agencies are currently investing in producing exciting sports programmes in an attempt to attract audiences. Therefore, remote production is considered an important method, he added.
Speaker Simon Roehrs said the seminar would serve to deliver useful information to audiences and to introduce new technology relevant to producing sports programmes, creating a chance for media agencies to exchange new ideas and give them a fresh initiative.
