VOV honours APEC Vietnam 2017 contest winners

VOV.VN - On October 25, Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) presented awards to the 21 winners of a contest on APEC Vietnam 2017.

The contest is co-organized by the National Committee for APEC 2017 and VOV, aiming to present the countrywide audience with useful information about APEC and Vietnam’s contributions to the important forum.

Vu Hai, VOV Vice President, said that four weeks after launching the contest, nearly 3,000 listeners have sent their answers and more than 60,000 viewers visited the contest’s fan page, showing a strong interest from listeners nationwide.

He presented awards to six of the 21 winners of the contest.

As a government multimedia agency, VOV always presents new and important information about APEC Vietnam 2017, and the impression of Vietnam - a friendly country of development, which makes active and responsible contributions to the dynamic progress of the Asia-Pacific region for listeners across the country.

Dong Manh Hung, director of the news and current affairs channel (VOV1), said the contest captured the major attention from listeners nationally. In the fourth week, VOV received nearly 500 messages and emails in answer to one question.

Le Huy Hoang, representative from the National Committee for APEC 2017  highlighted the contest as a creative way to help inform the public about the country’s important events such as the APEC Year 2017.


He said he hopes that VOV will coordinate with the Committee and other media agencies in providing people nationwide with full, timely and accurate information about the event.
