VOV enhances foreign affairs communication in Greece and Egypt
VOV.VN - As part of a broader effort to assess VOV’s overseas operations, a delegation led by Do Tien Sy, President of the Voice of Vietnam (VOV), recently visited Vietnamese embassies in Greece and Egypt to explore ways to enhance foreign affairs communication in both countries.

During a meeting at the Vietnamese Embassy in Greece, the top VOV leader introduced Vietnamese Ambassador to Greece Pham Thi Thu Huong to VOV’s structure and organization following the implementation of Resolution 18. He expressed his hope that the embassy would ramp up cooperation with VOV’s departments, particularly in utilizing VOV’s 12 foreign-language broadcasting channels to promote Vietnam’s global presence and reputation.

For her part, Ambassador Huong provided an overview of Greece and its people, highlighting the strong bond of affection the Greek people hold for Vietnam. She noted that both nations share unique cultural values and historical similarities that should be further promoted through media collaboration.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Greece is currently working to boost locality-to-locality cooperation between the two countries, thereby facilitating a program to send Vietnamese workers to Greece.
The Vietnamese diplomat also expressed her hope that VOV would help highlight key events marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries this year.

During his visit to the Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt, Sy met with Ambassador Nguyen Huy Dung and embassy officials. He thanked the embassy, particularly Ambassador Dung for its support in assisting VOV reporters during their assignments in Egypt. He also expressed his hope for stronger linkages between VOV and the Egyptian Radio and Television Union to intensify the exchange of external information between the two nations.
Ambassador Dung applauded VOV’s efforts in delivering timely reports on Egypt’s political, economic, social, and cultural landscape, as well as developments across the region. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to bolstering cooperation, thereby further promoting Vietnam’s image and cultural identity to the world.
