Vinh Phuc police arrest 52 Chinese nationals for illegally entering Vietnam

VOV.VN - Police in the northern province of Vinh Phuc have successfully apprehended 52 Chinese citizens who entered the nation illegally, according to information released by local authorities.

A representative from the Vinh Phuc police department stated the unit is in the process of co-operating alongside police from Vinh Yen city in order to launch an investigation into a group of Chinese people who both illegally entered and lived in the city.

Furthermore, it has been revealed that police were able to arrest 52 Chinese nationals who had previously entered the country illegally, with an investigation being launched in order to find out whether they are all part of the same group of illegal entries.

This comes after the evening of May 3 saw police in Vinh Yen city discover 39 Chinese people residing on Ngo Gia Tu, Nguyen Van Chat, and Nguyen Cong Tru streets in Vinh Yen city.

Upon police forces launching an inspection of their residences, some of the Chinese citizens failed to co-operate and ran away.

Local authorities have therefore disinfected these locations and temporarily detained several laptops, cell phones, SIM cards, and phone cards.
