VinaPhone officially launches 5G network service in Vietnam
VOV.VN - The Vietnam Post and Telecommunication Group (VNPT) officially announced on December 20 its VinaPhone fifth-generation (5G) network coverage equipped with super internet speeds.
Promising speeds up to 10 to 20 times faster than 4Gwith about 1.5 Gbps, VinaPhone’s 5G network also features low latency, which is ideal for high-bandwidth activities such as mobile gaming and other interactive applications.
VinaPhone is providing several new packages, starting from VND199,000 and rising up to VND349,000 per month.
Huynh Quang Liem, general director of VNPT Group, expressed his willingness to cooperate with bothdomestic and foreign enterprises and organisations in a bid to continue expanding and enriching the ecosystem of digital solutions as a means of meeting the needs of innovation and national digital transformation.
He stressed that along with a high service quality which meets the requirements of the Ministry of Information and Communications, VinaPhone 5G will soon cover 85% of the population ahead in the near future.
Earlier, VinaPhone provided the service for free for users in covered regions, outlining plans to complete the installation of 3,000 5G base stations across the country by the end of this year.
In October, the Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel) also launched the first 5G service in October, with faster internet speeds and ultra-low latency.
