Vietnamese women rescued from prostitution in Malaysia

Malaysian police on October 12 rescued 26 Vietnamese women from a brothel in Bandar Botanic, Klang, Kuala Lumpur.

They are among 41 women, aged between 18 and 35, believed to be victims of human trafficking.

The rescued also include three Indonesians, eight Chinese and four Laotians who were forced to work for the brothel, which operated under the form of an entertainment centre.

The local police said a 36-year-old Malaysian man who managed the centre was arrested during the raid.

The case is under further investigation.
