Vietnamese students in RoK join football festival
Four hundred Vietnamese students from across the Republic of Korea (RoK) participated in the fifth ICFood Football Cup in Chungnam National University, Daejeon city on June 30.
At the opening ceremony, Park Kyun-ik, President of the RoK’s ICFood company (the competition’s sponsor), expressed hope that Vietnamese students in the RoK will play a key role in fostering the RoK-Vietnam friendship.
The company pledged to work closely with the Vietnamese Students’ Association in the RoK to improve the students’ health.
Vietnamese Ambassador to the RoK Tran Trong Toan thanked ICFood for supporting the Vietnamese Students’ Association and presented an insignia to Park Kyun-ik in recognition of his contribution to the association.
This year’s event attracted eight male and five female teams. Sungkyunkwan University’s female team won the gold medal, while Chungnam University topped the male category.
