Vietnamese students come third at ICT Competition

VOV.VN - The Vietnamese team has successfully beaten more than 470 contestants from 160 teams of 49 different countries at the global final of the Huawei ICT competition 2023 to 2024 which recently concluded in Shenzhen in China.

This marks the second consecutive time that a local team has finished among the top teams in the competition.

The Vietnamese team consists of two students Dang Phuong Khoi Nguyen of the FPT University Da Nang and Nguyen Dac Phuc of the University of Economics - Technology for Industries.

After winning through the National and Asia-Pacific Regional rounds, the team continued to showcase their talent to ultimately claim the prestigious title.

According to Vu Kiem Van, vice president and general secretary of the Vietnam Digital Communication Association (VDCA), the competition creates a useful academic platform in which ICT students from across the world can come together for exchanges.

Van expressed his hope that Huawei will continue to maintain and strive to enhance the overall quality of the competition, providing high-quality training programmes and learning materials, not only for participants, but also for long-term collaboration programmes in the future.

Since its launch back in 2015, the competition has helped ICT students to enhance their knowledge and practical skills, while also increasing their ability to innovate by using new technologies and platforms.
