Vietnamese student to compete at ACAWC in the US

VOV.VN - Nguyen Tran Thao Nguyen has become the sole Vietnamese representative to compete at the Adobe Certified Associate World Championship 2018 (ACAWC 2018) in US city of Orlando, Florida, from July 19 to August 1.

Thao Nguyen, a third year student at Ho Chi Minh City Post and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, surpassed nearly 120 contestants from 30 universities, colleges and high schools across the country to win top prize at the national contest. This is the first time that such a contest has been held in Vietnam.

After grabbing the first prize, Thao Nguyen was presented with a “Creative Youth” badge by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Central Committee and a certificate of merit by the Ministry of Information and Communications.

The ACAWC is organized by the US Certiport, Inc., in the aim of finding leading experts in the use of software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. This is the fifth year the contest has been held for students worldwide to show off their design skills with Adobe’s software package.
