Vietnamese student awarded ACAWC prize in US

VOV.VN -Nguyen Thanh, a 10th grader from Hanoi’s Nguyen Tat Thanh High School, has won an award voted on by audience members during the final round of the Adobe Certified Associate World Championship (ACAWC) 2019 in New York.

This year’s event marks the second time that Vietnam has sent students to compete in the championship. This year, among the three Vietnamese students taking part in the event, Nguyen Thanh successfully surpassed a range of other outstanding contestants from nearly 50 countries worldwide to win the award.

During the ACAWC 2019’s final round, contestants competed in three design categories, including posting on Instagram, an email banner, and a poster that presents a message calling on people to support Giving Tuesday. Giving Tuesday is the name of a one-day annual movement that focuses on charitable giving.

The Adobe Certified Associate World Championship, held by the US’s Certiport, Inc. since 2013, is a global competition that sees students compete against one another through their design skills using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

The annual contest regularly attracts students aged between 13 to 22 from nearly 70 nations and territories worldwide.
